Loree Rodkin, if you haven't heard of her it's because you can't afford her either

I've developed a bit of a crush on American designer Loree Rodkin's bondage rings. It's not like my crushes on Kim Kardashian or Alexander Skarsgard or even my infatuation with finding the right pair of leather shorts as they are all totally obtainable and within reach.. well apart from the first two.

It's more of an admiration thing, they are so beautiful and unique and let us not forget.. Expensive, but if I had money to burn I'd put down my lighter and buy me a Loree Rodkin ring instead. Not a deposit on a very small flat, not for me thank you.

Worn by lots of A-Listers Madonna, Elton John, Cher, Heidi Klum, Michelle Obama, and the Olsen Twins to name a few Rodkin is known for taking inspiration from medieval designs and creating something truly modern, decadent and unique. I sound like I'm gushing and I suppose I am but it's not very often you come across a designer who offers something so different and special from the norm.

Each creation is made up of several carats of diamonds, engraved 18-karat rhodium white gold and are quite similar to how I envision a very fashion-forward Knight might have worked his gauntlet look had he not been too concerned about his finger's being cut off.

Christian Louboutin still seeing Red

Yves Saint Laurent are vehemently denying accusations by Christian Louboutin that they copied his trademark red soles.

Christian Louboutin

Sexy Strass 100 Swarovski crystal peep-toe pumps

£1,995

Oh dear, what a curfuffle.. don't designers always copy each other and then the high street follows.. I know a lot of the high end stores stock both brands but live and let live and all that..I think it's all a bit silly but why didn't YSL just create an electric blue sole, that would of had the fashion crowd salvating with all the colour blocking and brights this season..

YSL have come back with the retort:
"Red outsoles are a commonly used ornamental design feature in footwear, dating as far back as the red shoes worn by King Louis XIV in the 1600s and the ruby red shoes that carried Dorothy home in The Wizard of Oz," court papers filed by YSL read. "As an industry leader who has devoted his entire professional life to women's footwear, Mr Louboutin either knew or should have known about some or all of the dozens of footwear models that rendered his sworn statement false."

In a lawsuit launched last month in New York, Louboutin is seeking damages of $1 million, which amounts to roughly 500 pairs  of the Sexy Strass 100 Swarovski crystal peep-toe pumps above, ( give a crystal or two)
from YSL which - Louboutin claims - has copied his signature coloured sole on "virtually identical" shoes.

Apparently the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office awarded Louboutin a trademark for the red sole in 2008, according to the complaint but if that's the case how are countless high street shoe shops producing and selling bright red soled shoes? I'm sure it's not because this is a points scoring exercise is it? Well, who knows? Who cares.. At the end of the day they're all going to go back to their gorgeous houses in their gorgeous shoes and probably toast each others ridiculously over-priced but free cocktails at some industry do or another.

Fashion Fix: J Brand bright royal blue skinny alternative in Zara now!

I've saved myself a massive £170 on my lunch break by purchasing a fabulous pair of bright blue skinny stretch jeans in Zara for an amazing £35. 99. Not only that., but my friends may even talk to me again as I've been banging on about these jeans so much for the past few weeks that they've abandoned any hope of a normal conversation with me.

J BRAND

811 mid-rise twill cropped skinny jeans

£205

I do get a little OCD when I fall in love with something .. unfortunately this time the obsession in question was going to cost me £205 smackers…not good!

SKINNY STRETCH JEANS

£35.99

Anyways, I’m happy now but I’m not sure if I have anything to wear with it.. I think I should go with something bright as well, maybe a red belt and a green t-shirt.. totally rock the bright trend and also I’ll probably need a white sluchy tee for a more casual look.. yay.. I’m in love.

Fashion Forecast: The whiter than white trend is here

White is always a trend come Summer time but this year I reckon we can expect a total white-out. A scary prospect for some, me included, but be brave and try white from head to toe; maybe as a loose-fitting jumpsuit or cocktail dress Victoria Beckham style.

Standout styles and textures include broderie anglaise dresses, maxi skirts and fantastic crisp tailoring. Also remember white plus tan equals fashion perfection and I don't mean skin, although sun-kissed skin works too, think beige belts and heels. For the very fashion forward try white washing your nails for instant SS11 dazzle. Colour may be the new black this season but I think it's fair to say you should prepare your wardrobe for a total fashion white-over.
The starting point for any outfit, the jacket, well in this case the blazer,, this will go with almost everything

Sporty de-constructed tank-tops From Banana Republic will take you form day to night
The Platform is here to stay and this Casadie from Farfetch will add a little Euro glamour to any white outfit
Not totally white, this Mulberry Alexa get's a rose tinted update...I want it now!!
Knot this fabulous tan belt from Michael Kors around your waist to add definition and break up a head-to-tow white outfit
Dip your toe in the trend with this lace trimmed scarf from Topshop
Flat White: These fabulous Paraosol white toe Loop shoes from Topshop Boutique are the ultimate summer shoe, but not for rainy days..

White-wash your look with Stella McCartney as she paints her fuss-free jackets and dresses in ivory and nudes
