Barbie's a Hack with a penchant for pink!

A flair for journalism - and power pink! News Anchor Barbie has arrived on the scene.

News Anchor Barbie is the latest incarnation of the popular children's doll who has previously be employed as an astronaut, doctor, rock star, army medic, chef, dentist and aerobics instructor amongst others.

In all, News Anchor Barbie is the 125th career path for Mattel's 51-year-old doll. How lucky is she? We'll be lucky if we get one!

The doll is sold with the tag line "A flair for journalism -- and power pink!" , it's a bit American but it is Barbie after all.

Her new career path was chosen by a global online vote by fans of the doll.

"Barbie dolls and accessories empower girls to play out different roles and 'try on' fabulous careers, including news anchor, the first Barbie profession chosen by global vote," said a Mattel spokesman. Um yeah, what eves..

Not to let work get in the way of fashion, Barbie wears a posh pink Chanel inspired suit, high heels while carrying a B News folder, camera and microphone... She looks like a women doll who'll get the inside scoop.
